Although we all may be confined to our homes, it doesn’t mean that our minds aren’t able to run wild with adventure. One of the most wonderful ways to call things into you reality is to use your imagination and have a vision, or a goal. But what is vision boarding?
This quarantine is not going to last forever, and so why not start planting the seeds for the future that you want to live?
What is Vision Boarding?
There are many many ways you can do this, but what I would initially recommend is writing down what you want your life to look like.
How do you want to live?
How do you want to feel in your life?
By tuning into what your heart wants without the noise of society telling you what you should want. Isolation is the perfect time to do this.
It’s time to get creative. You can either go old school and gather cuttings that resonate from old magazines, or print images from online and mount or pin them to a pinboard that you can look at every day, to assist you in envisioning your life.
OR, you can use Pinterest and search to your hearts’ content. Make a specific board for your life, fill it with work inspiration, travel, love, etc. Whatever makes your heart sing.
Another way you can gather images to paint your life picture is by creating a ‘saved’ album on Instagram. That way, every time you see an image that inspires or resonates with you, you are able to categorise it and save it into your specific folder.
I often go through mine and just look over it, connect with how I would feel if this was my reality. The more you connect all of your senses with something, the more tangible it feels. Our subconscious can’t tell the difference between reality and what we tell it. Therefore, in doing this exercise we are conditioning ourselves to feel like we already have these things. This, in turn, will help to bring them into your reality.
We’re aiming to provide a range of content over the next few weeks that will hopefully be valuable to you. Maybe even your friends & family too! We’ve shared a few blogs already, so be sure to go and take a look at them!
