The Best Places to Eat in LA

After my handful of trips to LA over the past few years, I’ve come to find my absolute favourite places to eat. So, I thought why not sure them with you all too?! Without further ado, here are the best places to eat in LA (according to me, haha)!

YSABEL
Good for:
Anything & everything

Recommendations:
The brusselsprouts are DIVINE!!! Also, I’m not sure I’ve ever had a more perfectly grilled piece of salmon in my life! So simple yet undeniably delicious! Wild arugula & honey-nut squash salad is also super delicious!
I could go on and on, and on… but going to keep it super simple for you.

BUTCHERS DAUGHTER
Where? Venice
Good for: Plant Based

Recommendations:
Of the stone baked pizzas you HAVE to try the dolce picante!! Honey, gorgonzola, chili flakes, pear, fig jam, rocket, my mouth is actually watering as I type!! If that’s not your jam, go for the spicy kale caesar which is a vegan friendly option and always a firm favourite!
Orrrrr if you want to try something else, the spaghetti squash carbonara is comfort food at its finest! Lighter than a full pasta dish but just as satisfying!
Or if you’re like me, you go with friends, order them all, and share family style. That way you get to try everything!

NOBU
Where? Malibu
Good for: Japanese everything

Recommendations:
Obviously, its Nobu, world renowned for its reputation for outstanding Japanese food, so ordering pretty much any of the seafood, sushi or sashimi is beyond safe! However, I wanted to throw in a few things that you may not usually go for that I can personally vouch for!

Rosemary panko oysters… have you ever had a panic crusted fried oyster? Well, you are about to because these are SOOOOO good! Unusual, but absolutely delicious and enough to turn an oyster hater into an oyster lover!
Then you have the seared toro with truffle teriyaki- tuna, gooooooood, truffle GOOOOOD!! I am a truffle addict, could definitely go down a new career path of being a truffle pig, but anyway, this somewhat unlikely combo really works!
Last but absolutely not least is… *drum roll*… the crispy brussel sprouts because, I have a tendency to order them at every restaurant I go to in North America if they are on the menu so I can compare and contrast and these my friends, are some of the best!

GRACIAS MADRE
Good for
: Plant based Mexican

Recommendations:
Caesar salad. I know, not necessarily the norm for a Mexican restaurant BUT it is soooo good!
Now, the barbecue jackfruit tacos I can never turn down! Always a sucker for a taco! Especially when there is jackfruit involved! If you haven’t tried jackfruit before I highly recommend it!
Then last but not least, the street corn. There is something soooo satisfying about not only corn on the cob, but especially when its done with a street corn vibe! Sweetcorn with all the fun toppings!

CAFE GRATITUDE
Good for:
Plant based

Recommendations:
Number 1-Buffalo cauliflower wings!! These you can not, not try!!! Yes, I used a double negative because its a serious situation! Buffalo wings here are the bomb!! You can thank me later 🙂
Next up, Nachos! Perfect for sharing and fully loaded. These are not the nachos that you get with just a few sprinkles of toppings, they are piled with deliciousness!!

Keto or Bulletproof is becoming a huge thing and to cater to that, as with any great restaurant, moving with the times is important! Give the people what they want! So that is exactly what they’ve done! Introducing the Ketogenic bowl!! Consisting of marinated oyster mushrooms, asparagus, broccolini, cauliflower rice, avocado, and a delicious green goddess dressing.
IF you still have room, it would be terribly rude not to get the mint chocolate shake. I dont even have words for just how good it is!! You will just have to try it!
