Oh Joshua Tree!!
Joshua Tree National Park truly is magical!

I know I’ve mentioned Joshua Tree National Park briefly in our 4 States in 4 days blog (Click here to check it out if you haven’t already), but I feel like it is deserving of its own special mention, because of its special place in my heart.

Located just a 2.5hr drive from Los Angeles (on a good run of traffic!!! A bad run, getting caught in rush hour could have you anywhere upwards of that!), it is a desert paradise.

I always get excited passing the wind turbines at Palm Springs because I know its close. Now, you may just drive through the town of Joshua Tree as you may not know the hidden treasures that lie there!

However, it’s full of vintage shops, gorgeous gifts stores filled to the brim of wonderful finds, crystal shops, cafes and health food shops. It’s the modern hippy’s dreamland.

My personal favourite spots to grab a bite to eat are:

  • The Natural Sisters Cafe
A health food cafe filled with juices and smoothies, sandwiches and salads and the most INSANE cakes! (Many of which are vegan/gluten-free) Just note that the portions are HUGE, so go with an empty stomach!
  • The Joshua Tree Saloon
Great food (I recommend the house tacos with a side of sweet potato fries soooooooooo good!!) and regular entertainment, whether live music or join in with karaoke night, it’s a fun time!

If you want great coffee, then you need to check out Joshua Tree Coffee. It’s tucked away so don’t miss it!
It’s every coffee lovers dream! Everything from nitro cold brew to espresso, with every alternative milk you could imagine!
Also try their chocolate! They have weird and wonderful flavours that are all delicious!

Then of course, the actual Joshua Tree National Park is just out of this world. It quite literally it like this magical other planet.
I can barely put it into words.
The trees make me think of Dr Seuss characters, and the mountains look like huge boulders that have dropped from the sky, almost like something from the flintstones. Truly otherworldly.

If you’ve been, we’d love to hear about your adventures – so please do get in touch!!

Until next time!
