When someone asks you “How are you?”
How many of you, put your hands up, use the phrase, “I’m good, really busy” as a response?
When did being ‘busy’ become something we desired?
How to Prioritise
Often busy-ness is a form of escaping reality. We are either keeping ourselves busy, so we don’t have to think about the one thing we really know we need to do. Alternatively, we keep busy so we don’t have to feel our feelings, because if we slow down, we get confronted with them.
But how many of you keep so “busy” that you don’t make time to actually LIVE your life?
How many of you use “I’m busy” as an excuse to not go and do the super cool thing your friends invited you to go and do? All because you feel guilty taking time for yourself?
How many of you use being busy as a way to procrastinate the things that you know that you need to prioritise in your business? Because keeping busy with the maintenance or the small things that actually could wait if you are honest with yourself? Because the one thing you KNOW you should be doing is a little bit too scary, so you keep playing it safe?
What good will come from keeping busy and playing it safe?
Nothing. I can tell you that for free.
Stop using being busy as a badge of honour and PRIORITISE the biggest game changers. Start making waves that will get you to your destination.
Stop getting consumed by the speed bumps.
Write a list.
Learning how to prioritise is ESSENTIAL when starting to grow your online business. In the beginning stages, stressing over the small things can be detrimental when you’re trying to make big moves.
That’s not to say the detail isn’t important, of course it is. But don’t solely focus on the detail when you haven’t sorted the rest!
