What is Affiliate Marketing?
In the most simple of ways, it’s effectively selling someone else’s product or service. Often, this is done through a network or using affiliate links. This allows you to earn a commission if people buy through you and/or your links.

Generally you just need to focus on the traffic and conversion to sales on the site. You don’t need to worry about product creation; course creation etc. As a result, you can focus on honing your skills in the area that, arguably, matters most.
Lots of people have written guides regarding affiliate marketing but essentially it boils down to theses 7 steps:
- Decide on a platform or product
- Choose your niche or market segment
- Find affiliate programs to join.
- Create great content. This is harder than you think
- Drive traffic to your affiliate site.
- Get clicks on your affiliate links.
- Convert clicks to sales.
Test, measure, fail; test, measure, fail; test, measure, succeed.
That’s why digital affiliate marketing tends to work best.
You learn quicker.
Seems simple enough.
The key though is ensuring you can earn initial fee income, renewal fee income and that there are high ticket items to earn commission from.
